No, this isn't a sheep! "Zorro" is one of our flock guardians.

Shetland Sheep
-
Shetland sheep are a small primitive fine wool breed.
Colors range from white to black through shades of grey and white
through shades of brown. I used four Shetland ewes
for crossing ito provide an interesting spinning fleece. The 2009
cross was done using Kibbles, a Gotland/Finn ram leased from Franna
Pitt. So far only two ewe lambs out of Shetland moms.

- Navajo-Churro Sheep
-
Navajo-Churro sheep are a medium sized coarse wool breed.
Similar colors to the Shetlands, with the exception that some of the
Churros carry Extension dominance. My Churro
program is to continue to provide luscious Churro wool, appropriate
fleeces but on the finer, softer side and I do register them with the
Navajo-Churro Sheep Association. Folks who are buying these fleeces are
handspinning them for weaving weft and using them in felting projects.
Lamb fleeces are soft enough for next to the skin usage if spun softly.
- Interesting Crosses
-
This year, 2009, cross lambs will be half Gotland/Finn. So far
we have 4 wethers, 2 rams and 3 ewes. Some may be available for sale.
Fleeces will vary from fine and very crimpy to wavy Churro like with
shine and color.

point be available for Bar-B-Que. Please contact us if you are
